This prompt for the Sunshine Challenge is violet.

Purple was my favorite color when I was a preteen. At the time I also had a shiny purple horse figure that I bought at a flea market. Pretty sure it was one of the Fashion Star Fillies, a series of toys from the 1980s that was trying to cash in on the My Little Pony craze. Look how shimmery they are!

I owned several My Little Ponies too, but I can't remember if any of them were purple. Either way, the ultimate purple pony will always be Twilight Sparkle.

(The below video is a clip from the first season of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.)

That was part 1 of this Sunshine Challenge prompt. Part 2 is offering to do something fun or creative for others. If anyone would like to request one, I can offer pencil doodles. I've fallen way behind on my goal of drawing something every day, and this might help get me back into the habit. I'm still limited in what I can do (examples here), but I'm up for trying animals and faces of characters that I can easily find references for!

OMG I do remember Fashion Star Fillies.

I remember having a purple MLP, and when I tried to see if I could find her I found a fun website that you might like. It looks like I might have had Powder.

As for sketches, I'd love Rainbow Dash if you like. :D

There were a lot of shows meant to sell toys in the 80s and 90s, and one can only wonder who the person is that would have been able to have them all, including the very similar things to each other.

If you're still doodling and would like a pony to make an attempt at, Friendship Is Magic era Princess Luna would be nice.

I think I had one of those horses too! MLP knockoffs were all over the shelves when I was a kid in the 80s.

I've fallen way behind on my goal of drawing something every day, and this might help get me back into the habit.

Me too! I did Inktober two or three years ago and swore to myself that I'd keep up with the drawing every day... and I so did not... at all. I didn't draw anything in July.

How about a dragon? Pony-style would be cute.

I love drawing dragons and aliens because even if they come out "wrong" I can just go, "Well, my dragons aren't supposed to be symmetrical!"
