Daviel the Dragonborn

This is Daviel, a snotty Altmer destruction mage who was mortified to discover that he's a Nord hero known as the Dragonborn. How barbaric.
Daviel wasn't my first Dragonborn, but he gave me one of my more memorable Skyrim playthroughs. He fought with magic almost exclusively, which meant he was really squishy and did a lot of screaming and running away-- at least in the beginning. But I had the Apocalypse mod installed, so eventually he built up an arsenal of really nasty spells.
Originally I was going to name him Dave, but my husband insisted it wasn't proper a proper name for a fancy-pants high elf. So I changed his name to Daviel and pretended that people call him Dave to piss him off.

One of my first screenshots of Mehra, September 2016 (I've adjusted the color levels some). The armor is from the Immersive Armors mod. I ended up using a different armor from the same mod. Neither of them really suited Mehra, but they were the more practical options I could find at the time.
It's been a bad week, so I'm posting something that makes me happy: Skyrim screenshots of Rumarin. I've been using these as references when I try to draw him, and they reflect his current look in Throat of the World.

Rumarin has abandoned his fake College robes and war paint in an effort to keep a low profile. He knows bounty hunters are on his trail, and he wants to throw them off if he can. High elves stand out enough as it is in Skyrim, and his old look made him all the more conspicuous.
Rumarin had new leather armor made in Whiterun (one of the benefits of being friends with the Thane of Whiterun). The chain mail probably makes it heavier than he would like, but as armor goes it appears practical and not as bulky as other options. Rumarin's armor comes from the mod The Witcher 2 - HD Retexture of craftable Seltkirk Armor.

Saturday, February 22nd, 2020 11:07 amA couple of old Skyrim screenshots of J'zargo, Mehra, and Rumarin at Candlehearth Hall in Windhelm, based on a scene from chapter 1 of The White Phial. Rumarin approaches J'zargo and Mehra to convince them to help him fetch a valuable artifact from a haunted crypt. The apple on the table gets to be part of a juggling act later.

Wednesday, December 18th, 2019 04:00 pmDug up a few old Rumarin screenshots from several years ago. I'd like to get back into doing more Skyrim screenshots. I don't miss creating one for every story chapter (it's a pain to get everything right for a given scene), but it's kinda fun to do casually.
