Sunshine Challenge 2020: Prompt 4 - Green

This prompt for the Sunshine Challenge is green.

Green makes me think of the plant from the movie Wall-E. The seedling that Wall-E discovers is tiny and fragile, but it's proof that life is finally returning to a long-dead world. That little sprig of green represents hope for a better future.

And finally, green is a color I associate with one of my Skyrim OCs, Mehra. All the time she's spent in Skyrim makes her miss the green meadows of Cyrodiil. She's learning alchemy, which means she's developing a greater appreciation for plants and flowers not only for their beauty, but for what they can do when mixed together in the right ways. Above all she's a healer, and for me green symbolizes healing and life.

Oh, I'd forgotten how clever the end credits of Wall-E were with the evolving art style.

I can't imagine a home I'd love more than a cozy hobbit hole.

I love it when they do fun and clever things with the credits like that. And it's nice to see a glimpse of the characters' lives after they return to earth and start to rebuild.

Many fantasy worlds seem like places that would be nice to visit, but Hobbiton somehow feels like home.

I have to love a movie with a sweet robot that just wants to hold someone's hand, and I have to marvel at how Pixar made even a cockroach adorable.

Aww, that's a cute scene to choose from Wall-E.

Hobbiton seems so cozy. I really like the circular doorways of the hobbit holes, too.

I love those round doors too, even though they must be hard on the hinges. Rounded entrances look so friendly and inviting.

Wall-E is definitely a good choice for green, since that's the point of the entire movie, as it turns out. And the credits sequence there is really good as it goes through different art periods. I hadn't even noticed it until I went "oh, we started with the vase paintings and that's very definitely van Gogh's sunflowers". Lots of green all around.

Yes, even though most of the movie Wall-E is in shades of brown or spacey blues and grays, the color green has the most meaning. And I do love the credits; it's like humans are reliving and rediscovering their history all over again. But with robots!
