Looking Back at February
Sunday, March 1st, 2020 08:14 pmSeems like I felt crabby and unmotivated half the time. Maybe because it was February.
Got some writing done, even if I didn't exactly finish anything. I wrote 28 out of 29 days.
Most days I drew something. Sometimes just circles and lines, other times three-dimensional shapes and skeletal figures. Occasionally I tried drawing the faces of animated characters like Bruce Wayne, the Joker, and Princess Jasmine. I tried following a few of Paul Priestley's video tutorials, but the "just be loose and free!" approach left me feeling a bit lost. Right now I'm giving Proko's Drawing Basics a try; his approach to teaching the fundamentals feels closer to what I'm looking for.
Finished several books, including The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway, Curtain: Poirot's Last Case by Agatha Christie, The Mood Elevator by Larry Senn, and State of Denial by Bob Woodward.
